SLEEP

My darling daughter does not want to sleep at night…I mean she just finds excuse after excuse not to go to sleep…And she yells from upstairs to down stairs…I need a drink….I have to pee…What’s that noise…etc. Mind you we are in an apartment (well a house set up as 3 apartments) and the whole neighborhood can hear her when she yells (natural cheerleader…or drill sargent)…anywho…she is quiet at the moment…boy I hope she sleeps tonight…

BIKES and BARBIES

Helloooooo Storage!! Can I just say it is the most wonderful thing to have our stuff out of storage (even though the Hubby is filling the house with boxes)! The kids have been riding there bikes (something that hasn’t been done in over a year because the bikes were in storage in NY) and playing outside when we go over to the farm with complaint!! And when we are home they are actually playing in their OWN rooms!!!! Now if only Kenz would stay in her OWN bed! But Barbie’s dream house is here and she is loving it….a bunch more items over at the farm but no rush in getting it here…I told the kidos they had to go through there thing and donate items to Good Will or Salvation Army or Santa wasn’t coming because they had to many toys and there are other kids out there with none. And some items I am going to pack up until the baby gets older (poor kid is gonna get hand me downs but she’ll never know) Oh and we got all of our movies (VHS & DVD) the kids were thrilled to sit and watch ones that they haven’t seen in awhile…it kinda was like an early Christmas. Much more to go through this weekend…And oh I have all of our books….mine…the kidos….can’t wait to look through them all….only problem is our apartment is small! We so need to look for a bigger place in the future…sure won’t happen in the next 12 months…any who…off to do house work before Miss Grumpy wakes from her nap (still teething)….

Taking’em to the farm…

Oh the kids are going to RUN today! The rain yesterday has brought out extra energy from them (and they sucked mine dry)! So today we are going to Pap’s farm to run and be merry. LOL…okay my son is an indoor kid so it will drive him crazy that he has to play outside the WHOLE time we are at Pap’s. Kenz on the other hand will jump for joy, drag out every toy over there and then leaving the toys all over the yard “attack” the poor cats (she hugs them a lot). But they spent the day fighting like cats and dogs yesterday and from the noise upstairs its starting again…okay off to go get dressed and attack the world…or well the farm and make the kids (eerie music playing to heighten the suspense) PLAY OUTSIDE!! Mmmaaawwwwhhhaaaaa

And On another tone…wanted to do a separate post for this… A prayer and thought for all of those who lives were impacted on this tragic day in history.

Rainy day…

So today my little diva had to have an umbrella to go to school under (we walk to school) so her hair wouldn’t get ruined. She FIVE! And I am, lets just say not a diva. Rain is fun in my book…I really like rainy summer days for puddle jumping and rainy cool days for soup and movie day!!! We are still working on the long drug out fall project (I re-cut the hands yesterday)…the little people, well, Gavster has had too much homework. I wanted to start on scarecrows this weekend but I guess we will have to finish the leaves. As for Miss Madelyn she is conked out…wonder why (very sarcastic tone)…she decided that 3AM was a great time to wake up for the day…did I mention its a SCHOOL day…any who…I’ve had a half a pot of REALLY strong coffee and have lots of ambition today…so we shall see what gets done!

Fall Art Project

Our unfinished art project.

So I thought it would be fun to make hand leaves…and regular leaves and pumpkins.  Kenz thought it was so much fun to cut it all out!! Gav didn’t want anything to do it…my darling grumpy eight-year-old.   So the picture above is our unfinished art project.  Kenz needs to work on cutting closer to the lines.  She cut all around the pictures I drew for them to cut out.  Hopefully today we will glue and finish, if there isn’t too much homework! 

Kids…

I love my kids I really do….but I am so glad that school is back in session!!   I know there are many other moms and dads out there saying the same thing.  Today I plan on doing art projects with the kids (Labor Day weekend…4 days off from school)…However, I am still enjoying my coffee, while the baby naps.  We have all day and it is only going for 11am.  Hopefully I will be able to post some pics later of our wonderful fall projects…(I’m cheap…lol..instead of buying decorations…we will be making them!!)
